The Western Report

Back from the western swing and what a great time. It was an honour to play the Edmonton Folk Festival and to send Brett from the Handsome Family over to Canadian Tire for some extra layers.
Thanks to all the folks who came out to the shows as well in Calgary and Winnipeg. Everything was just so much fun. What a great way to spend a week.
I thought I would have loads of photos' but my camera gave-up early in the trip. The above photo was taken by Sherri Worobec in Edmonton and documents the exact moment at which my little Canon showed the dreaded E18 error message. Sherri was kind enough to send me a few photos' she had taken at the festival and I will post those soon.

Fred Eaglesmith Picnic:
This weekend is the Fred Eaglesmith Charity Picnic. I am playing at 3:45pm on Saturday and will also back up Kate Maki if I can get there by Friday evening. Click on link below for all the information for this wonderful event which takes place in Aylmer, Ontario this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

UK News:
Ruth Minnikin, Kate Maki and I are trying our darndest to get some shows booked in the UK in November. Anyone who might be interested in helping out or booking us a show or house show or anything along those lines can send me an e-mail at: jimbryson@gmail.com . We are having some luck with shows, but could use a few more as well.

Thanks to Sid Younis for bring the Beluga back to life....

Breaking In(prt#2).: Car break in number 2 for the summer last night. No broken windows this time, but my shitty fucking old stereo got taken(sorry dad, I do love it). More time for thinking while I drive around wondering when someone will just take the whole car. I never thought a rusty Mazda 323 was such a hot hit for the thieves.
