Toronto CD Release:

Come on, come on. Come on out to the Horseshoe Tavern this Saturday if you can or desire to see the Toronto launch show of this new "Where the Bungalows Roam" record.
After a terrific solo tour with Jill Barber west, it is fun to be back with other instruments around me for this show.

We may have lost Jeremy after Wakefield for a long while to the Fire dept., but all the rest of the gents are intact and Jon Lomow is branching out and getting his itchy piano fingers nimble and ready to go.

Joining us is the Band Americana Uk called "Their Favourite Band at SXSW 2007*", the lovely OX. Doors happen at 9pm and Ottawa hockey folks can watch with us in the front bar.

Here are the details in a listing:

Jim Bryson and the Occasionals
(Peter vonAlthen, Dave Draves, Jake Bryce & Jon Lomow)
w/ guests: OX
Saturday June 2nd
The Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto
9pm doors

NXNE and Waterloo: 6 days later, playing a set 45minutes shorter at an event much harder to get into....

We are coming back Toronto way to take part in the BBC Bob Harris night at Lee's Palace as part of NXNE on Thursday, June 7th. We are on at 11pm and it is pretty awesome line-up with Luke Doucet, Kathleen Edwards, Oh Susanna, Justin Rutledge and two guests of fairly known repute. Come early, this one will be very difficult to get into.

Kelp your Saved Radio:

But wait there is more NXNE fun to be had on Friday June 8th from 1pm to 6pm as Kelp Records and Saved by Radio team up for the East Meats West BBQ at the Global Village Backpackers on King and Spadina. Grolsch is helping to guarantee your afternoon buzz.

Here is the Listing:

East MEATS West BBQ
with: Camp Radio, Andy Swan, OX, Jim Bryson, Andrew Vincent
The Michael Parks, AA Sound System, the Parkas, Flecton , Andy Swan, Chris page
and Rhume
Friday, June 8th. 1pm to 6pm
Global Village Backpackers, 460 King St. West

And the day before if you find yourself slightly west in the area of the 519 known as the K/W, I will go back to my solo ways opening for Kathleen at the Starlight Lounge in Waterloo.

Heading East with David Myles:

I will get back to you in the next posting with the details of shows happening east with David Myles from June 14th to 24th.

Stay tuned...the Mac crashed once, but posting is here thanks to my external OS I installed,

jim,

*may have been called "one of their favourite bands", but it reads better without the other two words.

Canada Live This Saturday:

Hi all. Just got into Winnipeg to do my second western Canadian trip in two weeks. I am so thrilled to be crossing the country with Jill Barber this week.

The remaining Kathleen / John Mayer shows were great fun and I had a hoot at CBC Radio 3 yesterday morning with Tariq and then Grant Lawrence. Sorry for not advance listing my interview, me not so smart some days.

Canada Live on CBC Radio Two:

Way back in April (remember April?) when we played at the Black Sheep, CBC came along and recorded the Saturday night show. Well just like that, it will be broadcast nationwide this Saturday night on Radio Two. Hosted by the lovely Alan Neale, you can check out the listing and find yourself a station and stream the whole show after the initial broadcast by paying this here web-site a visit: radio2.cbc.ca

What Else:

A Toronto CD release show has been confirmed on June 2nd at the Horseshoe Tavern with speacial guests OX. Also, the collective we will be playing at NXNE as part of Bob Harris' BBC Radio 2 Showcase. Other shows in the works I will list soon, soon, soon such as east coast tour with David Myles in June.

Here wishing our Senators good luck this evening as well,

jim,
