It Seems Early To Me: A clever me would say I am up to make sure that you rise this morning with some great news blurb to read here. Clever, maybe, but truth be told, I have just been unable to sleep and I am up at 6:30am with a headache here rolling into day three. And I realize that this is when most people actually are getting up so it only seems early to me I suppose.
We rehearsed for the first time since July last evening and the fellows sounded great. It really makes me miss not having more regular band practices and now having spent all this time playing solo, I almost forget what it is like to play songs with the band again. I am never sure how many songs we even get through at these rarely occuring rehearsals, but Draves did give us a tour of the in progress renovations that have been going on since late August on his house.
Thanks Jill: Thanks to the Jill Barber and Virginia at the Grad House at Queens University for a great time Friday. It was a real treat indeed.

This week in Life: Al Whatmough is over tuning the piano and it sounds great to me. Here is what is going on:
CBC Radio One This Saturday: I am appearing on Brent Bamburys' Saturday monring national CBC radio show, GO This weekend. The show airs each Saturday at 10amEST (10:30 in NFLD). I will play some trivia and play a song.
Bit By Bit I Swear: I received an e-mail tonight directing me to the Orange Records message board. There are a couple of funny posts about my now removed message board, which had been a pretty unattended attraction during its' short life. They have begun to slowly eliminate me. This week, my message board, next week.......
East Kelpward We Go: New Brunswickan John Bartlett and Jeff Hardill and I have been putting together a east coast swing for the second week in November. I will be unplaying and butchering all of the stellar John Higney parts for Greenfield Main, as well as playing in the middle lane of the Halifax Show solo. Local supergroup fiftymen will be sharing all of the bills with sir Bartlett and company.
The Outsiders': We met author SE Hinton after her reading with Geoff Brown last night in Ottawa. She told many a great story and did not actually read anything at her reading, just chatted.
