Home, Here We Are:

Home, we are back home all now and back to living our lives in our different neighborhoods. I am having Fred and Andy over tomorrow night to watch a little hockey and cheer on the Edmontonians from here in Ottawa. I am sure Brent Oliver of the Sidetrack Cafe is going absolutely nuts right now.
I discovered tonight I have a Wikopedia page. I am not sure who set it up, but it is there. I mucked about with it a little bit to get it in some sort of order.
I have been spending my week enjoying Lisa and Miches' b-day good times. We found our way through mucho vino last night with a great group of friends and now I am sitting here on the floor at home with my first evening in the house since I got back Sunday. Sorry to AV that I am missing his show tonight but I just cannot go anywhere right now. I spent the day running around and now I am thinking sleeping is coming soon for me.
Well, friends, there are a few more pictures up on the Flickr world, go see them for yourselves if you like that sort of thing and have a great week.
Alright, that is the home report from Second Avenue,

(1.)Where We've Been:

Two posts in one, that is what is happenning here right now. One from London and one from Mothers Day. maybe this first ramble is more of an introduction to what I wrote a yesterday.
We are putting off doing our laundry and Anders and Dave are explaining and comparing their recording worlds they each inhabit. Anders in from Denmark and he does the sound and Dave Draves, well you all mostly know what he does. Dave has been slowly trying to explain his postal code on the phone and he regularily struggles to figure out the phones and make the daily call home to the family.
Howe is off and on his way to Manchester with some of the band for the radio and Dave, Anders and I are here in London on a day off.
Here for you are a few photos' from this here trip thus far... enjoy and click HERE
Ok, and now I present, yesterdays entry:

(2.)Sunday of Mothers Day:

Well, in many countries it is Mothers' Day, but in England Mothers' Day is in March. The Howe Gelb and Voices of Praise are five shows into this great tour and for the life of me, I am having no luck getting ahold of home this week.
Last evening, we strong and proud Bytowners' payed 10 pounds to listen to the last period of the Senators game and sigh a collective sigh from way over here when that overtime goal went in.
The choir is amazing, Howe is keeping us on our toes' and for the first time in many many years, Howe is kind of playing to a set list. Howe claims he has an allergy to the whole idea of a set list.
We have a terrific soundman from Denmark called Anders and today he called us the "most boring rock group he has ever met". Said is reference to Andy's Sudoku way of passing time. I have passed time with frequent naps in the "Casino Van". We are currently at the this moment of writing, enroute to Redding. Where we will be at the time of its' posting? Life's mysteries are many.
Hmmmmmm, there must be more, there just must be. Numerous growing inside jokes perhaps. But there must be more, there just simply must be more to say.
Sometimes it is best to sign off and call it for what it is for now, so with this I say, to quote Howe "this is me leaving",

jim,
