Into the 2009 We Go:

I wrote an eight-hundred word explanation of my year in passing but stopped shy of hitting send for some reason.

Too many ding dang things to say and not really any good ways of saying it.

So in preference, I now look away from the reverse and into “the future” and mention a few things that I would like to do and maybe even should do next year.

Here are some:

1. Stay close to home whenever I can.
2. Record some songs both in places familiar and new and with people familiar and new.
3. Fold my sweaters regularly.
5. Learn something new. I might actually try to build a shed. I even own a saw that can help carve my way.
6. Get things done.
7. Read more books and less web pages .
8. Get a hobby that does not involve a Macintosh Laptop.
9. Return calls quicker.
10. Go someplace new.

It was a very tough year for some of our friends and some of our family and many of you are thrilled to bits to see that boat anchor of a year finally be gone.
To you and yours and friends and everyone, here is hoping that 09 is a little lighter to carry around.
Over, rovers,

jim,
